Ibis Hotel Köln Am Dom

Staff spoke English and were very helpful, allowing me to check in early and leave luggage for a few hours after checking out (they have a locked room for this purpose). Location couldn't be better, directly next to the Hauptbahnhof and with a great view of the cathedral from my window. The room was clean and comfortable, as was the bed - I am very fussy about beds and pillows but have no complaints here!

The breakfast was outstanding and the location inside of the Cologne train station made it super convenient for rail travelers. The cathedral and shopping district are nearby. Accommodations are simple, clean and quiet as one would expect from the Ibis hotel chain. The staff were very professional and friendly during our visit.

The location is really ideal (especially if you travel by train), as it could not be closer to the train station. It is also right in the city center and the hotel actually faces the cathedral, which is really lovely! A decent budget hotel with a superb location for tourists or if you have to take a train early the next morning. The hotel is located next to the train platforms and a few meters from the Catedral (Dom). Surprisingly, the rooms are quiet, and you hardly can hear the trains or the traffic.

Great location next to the main train station and opposite the cathedral, but no noise issues. Quick check-in and check-out. Room was clean and adequately sized. No hot drinks making facilities or safe. Bottle of communal shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom. Breakfast was served in a pleasant room on the first floor overlooking the square. Food options were varied and included scrambled egg and bacon (no sausage), cereals, bread and pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham and cold vegetables, as well as juice and hot drinks.
